Hey There
Hello, I'm the owner of ALD Photography dedicated to capturing meaningful moments through my lens. As you entrust me with preserving your cherished memories. I believe it's important for you to get to know me better too. Born on December 31st, I've always celebrated my birthday alongside New Year's festivities. Growing up as the second of four daughters in a household of girls, I was initially surprised by the energetic dynamic of now being the mother to three boys, with just one female companion-a dog. Despite my early certainty of being a "girl mom", I've discovered a natural affinity being a "boy mom". My family shares a love for fishing, hunting, atv rides, building projects, and all things outdoors, passions that initially connected me with my husband during a hunt in Illinois twelve years ago. Today, we're raising out lively children, who keep us on our toes day in and day out. In my approach to photographing children, I occasionally resort to bibery with treats, toys, or other incentives, understanding that some days require creative tactics to capture their best moments. Personally, I prefer quiet evenings at home over outings, and I am fortunate to have turned my favorite hobby into a fulfilling career. When I'm not behind the camera, you might find me enjoying my favorite TV show, Virgin River. That's a little glimpse into who I am- I look forward to meeting you and capturing your special moment.

Let's Get Up Close & Personal
In 2018, my life took an unexpected turn when my first son, Grayson, spent 96 days in the NICU. As we finally returned home, I yearned for newborn images to commemorate this challenging journey. However, local photographers hesitated due to his age. Determined to capture these precious moments, I purchased a Canon 6D Mark II and embarked on what I initially considered a mere hobby. Weekends became whirlwind of photographing friends, parties, and even dog portraits. Then, fate intervened. A bride- to- be reached out to me, seeking a wedding photographer. Despite my apprehensions she encouraged me to embrace the opportunity and simply enjoy the process. I shared sneaks from the wedding day and from that moment, ALD Photography LLC was born. On April 21st, 2020 amidst the challenges of Covid 19- I officially launched my business. I am immensely grateful to everyone who supported me, even amidst the pervasive scent of Lysol, the masks, and the constant santizer. Their encouragements fueled my passion and allowed me to turn my love for photography into a thriving venture.
